A collaborative team representing state agencies, universities, public and private landowners, economic development organizations, and private industry, the Minnesota State Wood Innovation Team was formed to develop strategies and on-the-ground actions that would enhance the forest industry and reduce fire risk in Minnesota. Goals included enhanced communication around these issues, response to unexpected agency and industry needs, and development of new projects to expand wood markets in Minnesota.
